As a part of our larger vision, we see a massive bundling opportunity around each layer of our value stack. The digital transformation throughout our industry over the past two-decades has been siloed and unbundled from inception, since the E-Sign Act of 2002. This has resulted in many disparate and now antiquated solutions, leaving organizations to “duct tape” their own workflows which has exposed them to increased customer churn, revenue leakage, operational inefficiencies, and security vulnerabilities. Our roadmap is focused on delivering a modern and streamlined workflow that converges e-signature, document management, invoice generation, and money movement:
E-Signature - The true value is within the data of the agreement being signed, allowing us to capture more of the digital acceptance market by delivering free e-signature. The incumbents in the space will feel competitively paralyzed as this would require a cannibalization of their respective business models. We will continue to expand our share of the market as we upsell into enterprise-grade features, integrations, and API end-points around the contract lifecycle.
Document Management - Leveraging Generative AI and OCR, we extract the most critical data from every agreement executed to further drive revenue impact. Because the alternative solutions in the market were originally built to store and backup files, there’s a disconnect between the data within the files and the actions around the data. We are building the bridge between revenue, legal, and finance teams that connect the contract lifecycle with the revenue lifecycle; we see the natural evolution of document management as revenue lifecycle management.
Invoice Generation - All of the valuable data within a contract is operationalized to programmatically generate, send and manage invoices, reminders, and recurring payments. The inefficient era of manual entry into stand-alone applications to simply request, follow-up, and track down payments is obsolete and expensive. We extract data to dynamically connect both sides of the transaction through an integrated experience that further automates both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Money Movement - Hyper-focused on the convergence of revenue that flows through agreements, we turn e-signature into a data capture mechanism to facilitate and monetize money movement. The payments industry has predominantly been focused on accounts payable, creating a substantial blind spot around accounts receivable; especially for AR automation of larger invoices. We optimize revenue impact by facilitating the sending of contracts that move money at scale.
Product Market Fit and Beyond
As we continue to increase our value, expand up-market, and grow our TAM, we anticipate perpetually reevaluating how we measure PMF. Our vision is to deliver the value that inherently drives both sides of the transaction to move money through the platform. We do this by streamlining the existing workflow with a more efficient, cohesive, collaborative, and secure experience.
While we will capitalize on the value of the long-tail market with free e-signature through transaction fees, brand exposure, and up-sells, we are primarily focused up-market on monetizing the funds that move through, and stay on, the platform at scale. To address this market, we also monetize enterprise-grade features such as multiplayer collaboration and redlining, advanced permissioning, AI automation, enhanced AP/AR automations, as well as CRM/ERP integrations. And, because of our relationship between the contract data and the money movement, we are uniquely positioned to take a meaningful share of high-interest treasury accounts, deliver stronger invoice factoring terms, and even disrupt tangential markets such as escrow.
